With a tournament record four game series total of 1121 (300, 290, 255, 276) and a four game series total of 995 (246, 236, 300, 213), Tampa's Antonio Brooks moved from 28th to first place in The National Bowling Association's (TNBA) 2008 Southern Bill Rhodman Singles Classic which held in Memphis, Tennessee on March 29th and 30th.

His performance allowed him to bowl in a one game title match for the championship. Tony Brooks (as he is called by his friends) continued his spectacular performance by shooting a 278 to win the title match 278 to 248.

Now some will say, "That's great but what's so special about this win?" Amazingly, Tony performed this feat using the original urethane "Burgundy Hammer" (not to be confused with the "Pure Burgundy Hammer"). That's right - he used a ball that was released back in 1992, proving that talent does not have to use the latest model ball to shine.

Winning this tournament earned Tony an entry into the 2008 National Bill Rhodman Singles Classic held in May. There he will compete against the winners of the Central, Eastern Western versions of this Classic.

Congratulations Tony on a job well done, and good luck at the Nationals!
